British Sarcoma Group Conference

The plan for the meeting is on the Wednesday morning there will be the National Sarcoma Forum and the main BSG meeting will commence on the Wednesday afternoon at 1.30pm after lunch. We will be having parallel sessions which should be of interest to anyone involved in sarcoma management as well as the Nurses and AHP’s. These sessions will include:

Follow-up - what is useful

Information – why are we so bad at giving information and how could we improve

Psychological Support – who needs it – patients &/or staff

Advanced STS – what to use and when

Thursday and Friday will be a mix of free papers and targeted sessions which will include the following:

1. Commissioning, early diagnosis and new guidelines.

2. Translational science – how can it help sarcoma care?

3. New techniques in radiotherapy especially Protons.

4. Surgical trials and tribulations.

5. Results of clinical trials including Ewings, osteosarcoma, Axi-STS and GEDDIS

Free parking is available at the conference centre. If the barrier is in use, you will need to obtain the passcode from the Conference Reception Desk to exit.
